Opportunities have arisen for full-time Veterinarians to lead one of our Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch Vet Clinics.

These roles are for individuals who would like to be integral members of dynamic and modern clinics. Senior Vet Nurse/Practice Manager

Due to continued growth in our organisation, we have an exciting leadership opportunities available at our Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill vet clinics for experienced Practice Managers or Senior Vet Nurses with 5+ years’ experience.  The successful candidates will be effective and energetic team leaders ready to drive our business forward through a considerable period of change using dynamic team leadership and strong operational skills.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following skills and expertise:

  • Fully qualified Vet Nurse (preferred) with practical experience and confidence in all areas of surgical nursing, anesthesia and patient care at a senior level;
  • A passion and enthusiasm for the veterinary profession and animal welfare;
  • Ability to deal with emergency situations and work unsupervised;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with fellow team members and build rapport with clients;
  • A great personality and exceptional communication and people skills;
  • The ambition to continually learn new skills and put them into practice;
  • Be comfortable around computers and basic clinic management; and,
  • Be legally allowed to work in New Zealand.

Veterinary Locum

An exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate new graduate or experienced veterinarian to join our clinics.

The Vet Care Group runs some of New Zealand’s best Companion Animal Veterinary Clinics.  Our team are passionate about animals and their wellbeing.  We are a dedicated group of vets and vet nurses who run clinics throughout New Zealand.

We require a locum veterinarians with good all round skills to help cover holiday leave and shorter notice sick leave cover at one of our Auckland, Wellington our South Island Clinics.


To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following skills and expertise:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ability to work individually in a sole charge situation, but also to lead the team are essential attributes
  • Friendly, outgoing, compassionate and empathetic
  • Computer literacy is a must, with working Vision knowledge preferable


There is a focus on providing a high standard of medical and surgical practice, a suite of modern diagnostic and surgical facilities are available to achieve this. 

Late nights, public holidays and weekend work may be required. We will require references from previous employers. All applicants must be able to legally work in New Zealand.

Opportunities have arisen for full and part time Veterinarian to join our well established clinics through out New Zealand.  These are exciting roles for an individuals who wants to be the integral member of dynamic clinics.  The successful applicants will ideally have a minimum of 3 years experience as a companion animal veterinarian with excellent all round skills.  They will relish the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by highly experienced Veterinary Director.
